Ottawa, June 3, 2020 – The Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario (AFO), in collaboration with the Société économique de l’Ontario, is proud to unveil today a new promotional tool entitled “Ontario Open for Business en français.” It consists of a 32-page bilingual prospectus aimed at the business world which makes the case for business start-ups or investments with a focus on French in Ontario.
The document showcases Ontario as an environment that has substantial Francophone and bilingual human resources. Its release comes at a key time as reflection continues on reopening the province’s economy following the COVID-19 public health crisis. It will be available for distribution to governments, companies and organizations that do business internationally.
“In Ontario, the future is bright with opportunities in both French and English across many sectors that have huge potential, thanks to our business environment which is excellent for growth, innovation, investment, job creation and the entrepreneurial spirit in all its forms. As an observer member of the Organisation internationale de la francophonie, Ontario shows its willingness to do business with Francophone countries throughout the world and boasts all of the assets needed for success: a flourishing Francophone population, an abundance of bilingual talent and a world of ambition,” says Carol Jolin, president of the AFO.
